December 21st, 2006 I was t-boned on my motorcycle doing approximately 55mph. My left arm was 90% severed on impact, both my lungs had collapsed and my brachial plexus nerve had been torn from my spinal column. I was placed in a medically induced coma for 5 days while the doctors attempted to reattach my severed limb with no success. I don’t remember anything, the first thing I do remember is the tubes being pulled out of my nose and throat and projectile vomiting all over this poor nurse. Everything was a haze, severely dazed and intoxicated from pentobarbital and copious amounts of morphine it was difficult for me to comprehend what exact injuries I had sustained. I wasn’t sure if I had lost my legs, was paralyzed, or just banged up…but one thing I did comprehend was that I was ok, and my family was hurting. I made it my priority to show my family that regardless of the injuries I had sustained, I was going to be ok and nothing was going to stop me from living my life. I made it a point to never feel sorry for myself, not ask for help, and be totally independent. Around 8 or 9 years post-accident, I was feeling a bit run down, sluggish, and just generally unhappy with my overall mental state and turned to fitness as an outlet. The overwhelming positive effects, spiritual and mental growth I have experienced throughout this entire process is simply astronomical. Trevor azonban elhatározta magát, hogy nem fogja sajnálkozva leélni az életét, és mindent megtesz annak érdekében, hogy ugyanúgy teljes életet élhessen, mint az eset előtt.
